Although his first progeny are only 13 years of age, Bustique is already placed 30th on the WBFSH Sire ranking. Many top riders have welcomed his offspring in their stables and out of his first breeding years, more than 60 descendants are competing successfully at international level. Including none other than the outstanding Grand Prix and World Cup winner Beauville Z (ds.Jumpy des Fontaines), with whom Maikel van der Vleuten made history by winning the individual bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2021. Last year at the WEG in Herning they added team silver and an individual bronze medal to their impressive track record.
Other remarkable offspring by Bustique include Florida Balia NL, Hendrick’s HX, Berdien, Footlose HX and Golia. Time and time again, Bustique proves to breed excellent showjumpers with a winning mentality. Paul Hendrix: “As the saying goes, good things sell themselves. Following in the footsteps of his sire Indoctro, Bustique produces top showjumpers and is considered to be one of the best KWPN breeding stallions of the moment. Almost twenty of his offspring are competing in 1.50/1.60m classes and more than 45 offspring perform at 1.35m/1.45m level.”
Bustique himself jumped internationally up to 1.45m/1.50m classes with Michel Hendrix. After a stay in the United States of America for a couple of years he returned to Stal Hendrix in 2019, once again becoming readily available for breeding. Bustique is a full brother to the Grand Prix showjumper Mustique and a half-brother to Grand Prix showjumper Noor, hence he represents a solid performance family and is becoming a top progenitor of well-bred showjumpers himself.
