Britannia’s Mail, known as Marley, is a proven 4* eventing stallion bred and produced by
Lucinda Fredericks. Now 17 years old he competed a full season every year for 12 years –
since he was a 4 year old – but has now retired from top level competition with 169 BE
points and is being used as a schoolmaster at home for Lucinda’s pupils in between his stud
duties.
Both he and his sister, Little Britannia, reached Advanced level by the time they were 9
years old and were the only two foals ever born when both parents were competing
successfully at the same Olympics in Beijing.
Marley’s mother, Headley Britannia, was the most successful eventing mare there has ever
been, having won Badminton, Burghley & Kentucky 5 stars as well as a Silver medal at the
Beijing Olympics.

His father, Jaguar Mail, has an outstanding record himself as a top show jumper and has
been named sire of the year on many occasions. He has an incredible amount of successful
progeny both show jumping and eventing.

Marley he been partnered with Lucinda’s daughter Ellie for the past five eventing seasons
with great success – taking Ellie from Novice to Advanced within one year – and they enjoyed
completing their debut 4* together at Bicton in 2023. The pair have produced fantastic
results together, with top 12 results in all bar one of their events, including 6th at Cirencester
Park Advanced, 10th at Rockingham International CCI-S3*and 8th at Thoresby Park
International Advanced u25.

With over 50 clears with Lucinda and Ellie Fredericks he has an incredible professional
record.

Britannia’s Mail has three super paces, exceptional jumping technique and is incredibly bold,
careful, sure-footed and quick across country. He continues to prove himself to be an
outstandingly tough, sound and confident stallion who consistently produces extraordinarily
rideable offspring with kind and trainable temperaments.

Britannia’s Mail has excellent fertility rates and has produced over 150 offspring, with
breeders choosing him not just on competition performance but also for his genteel manner
and suitability for riders at all levels – both professional and amateur.

A number of Britannia’s Mail’s youngsters, including Britannia’s Dynamite, Born to Run and
Britannia’s Star, are going up the levels with some top riders. Britannia’s Olive finished 6th in
the CCI-L2* at Bicton International 2024 and Pure Britannia won the 2023 Pony Club
Championships in both Eventing and Show Jumping.
